While creating black opium, Yves Saint Laurent beauty opened a new way in perfumery with a daring coffee accord; an ingredient never used in such high quantity in a feminine fragrance. a unique addictive and never-ending sillage. When Black Opium was launched, it was announced as a rock’n’roll interpretation of the classic that should highlight the dark, mysterious side of the YSL brand.
A warm and spicy fragrance with coffee, white flowers, and vanilla. To create the addictive coffee accord of Black Opium, the creator behind this fragrance wanted to reproduce the energizing aroma of strong black coffee when you lean into the cup, going from top to base note.
